I did test 360 Waves Patcher v.1.2.6 by SoulHeaven/Librasoft.
I can tell u this software works really fine and really converts waves like, for example, wave 4 in wave 3.
I did convert two wave 4 games in wave 3 gamez: Assasin Creed 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and I do not have to use my boot disk to play them on my xbox 360.
